About this tool
This Instagram Video Downloader fetches a public Reel or video post from the link you paste in, along with its cover image and caption text where available. It's designed for saving your own content or public content you have explicit permission to archive or repost, not for bypassing a creator's distribution choices. Videos are fetched from the public link you provide; we do not store them on our servers after your download completes. Only videos from public Instagram accounts can be retrieved — private accounts and content with restricted visibility will fail to fetch. Before reusing any downloaded video, check that your use complies with copyright law and Instagram's terms of service, and credit or get permission from the original creator where required.

Limitations
- •Only public Instagram accounts can be fetched — private profiles and restricted content will fail to load.
- •Cover image and audio extraction depend on what Instagram exposes for that specific post, and may not always be available.
- •Instagram may change its page structure or access rules at any time, which can temporarily affect fetching until the tool is updated.
Tips & common mistakes
- •Use the in-app Copy Link option rather than typing the URL manually, since Instagram's share links include identifiers the tool needs to locate the correct post.
- •If the account is private, fetching will fail regardless of the link format — this is by design to respect the account owner's privacy settings.
- •Only download and reuse content you own or have explicit permission to save, even when a Reel or post is publicly viewable.
- •If audio extraction isn't available for a particular Reel, the video file itself will still include the original sound when played back.
