About this tool
This QR Code Generator creates a standard, scannable QR code from whatever you need encoded — a website URL, WiFi network credentials, a plain text note, an email address, or a phone number. Choose the content type, fill in the relevant fields, and the QR code preview updates live as you type. You can customize the foreground and background colors and adjust the error correction level, which controls how much of the code can be damaged or obscured while still scanning correctly, before downloading a print-ready PNG image. The QR codes generated here are static: your data is encoded directly into the code's pattern, so there's no expiration date and no tracking server involved in scanning it later — once downloaded, the code works independently of this website. All generation happens in your browser as you type.

Tips & common mistakes
- •If the QR code will be printed small or placed on a busy background, choose a higher error correction level so it still scans reliably if partially obscured.
- •Keep strong contrast between the foreground and background colors — low-contrast combinations (like light gray on white) can be unreliable for some scanner apps.
- •For WiFi QR codes, double-check the network name and password are typed exactly right, since a typo will produce a code that fails to connect when scanned.
- •Test a newly generated code with your own phone camera before printing or sharing it widely, to confirm it scans correctly on common devices.
QR Code Standard
Generated codes follow the ISO/IEC 18004 standard used for all standard 2D QR matrices.
Error Correction: L (~7%), M (~15%), Q (~25%), H (~30%) data redundancy
