Background Remover uses an on-device segmentation model to cut the subject out of a photo. The first run may download the model files to your browser; after that, processing stays local. Results are strong on clear portraits and products, and can leave small artifacts on hair, glasses, or busy scenes. Export as transparent PNG, or place the cutout on white or light blue for passport-style workflows.

Limitations
- •First visit downloads a model and can take time on slow networks.
- •Fine hair and complex edges may need manual touch-up in another editor.
- •Phones with low memory may struggle with very large images.
Tips & common mistakes
- •Use a simple background photo when you can — cutouts are cleaner.
- •For passport photos, export with white or light blue, then open Passport Photo Maker to size it.
